The Mint Company, Adidas and The Studio WTF have joined forces in a creative initiative that transforms the studio into a true cultural laboratory in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria — a meeting point where fashion, music and local talent intersect to amplify the new urban scene emerging from the Canary Islands.

Over several production days in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, The Studio WTF was reimagined as an immersive set shaped by the aesthetic codes of adidas and The Mint Company. The space was designed to host original music performances, creative processes and the production of high-impact audiovisual content — aligning the global identity of both brands with the contemporary cultural narrative of the Canary Islands.

The outcome is a series of original music pieces supported by a cohesive and compelling visual universe, where urban aesthetics intersect with the cultural storytelling of the islands. The project positions the Canary Islands as a creative territory with a distinctive voice on Spain’s urban music map.

The Canary Islands as a Creative Territory

In recent years, the Canary Islands have established themselves as one of the most dynamic incubators of urban music in Spain. Despite their geographical distance from the country’s major music industry hubs, the local scene has flourished through community-driven initiatives, independent production models and a strong, differentiated cultural identity.

This collaboration between The Mint Company, adidas and The Studio WTF was created to reinforce that movement: building real spaces for creation, providing visibility and supporting a new generation of Canary Islands artists who are reshaping Spain’s contemporary music landscape.

More than a one-off activation, the initiative is conceived as a long-term cultural platform connecting territory, fashion and music — creating a bridge between the local creative ecosystem and global projection.

First Edition

The first edition of the project is now available, featuring Canary Islands artist Galindo and his track “High Fashion”. The piece blends sound, aesthetic and visual storytelling in a way that reflects the DNA of this collaboration. This release also includes Cristina Mahelo with “La Herida (Remix)”, a reinterpretation that brings a new emotional and sonic layer to the project, expanding the creative universe of this first edition.

The project embodies the spirit of the partnership: understanding fashion as culture, music as identity, and the Canary Islands as a territory capable of projecting new creative voices across Spain and internationally.

Through this initiative, The Mint Company reaffirms its commitment to the Canary Islands’ creative ecosystem — investing in projects that go beyond product and connect meaningfully with contemporary culture.
